Josh DeBoer
Principal, Symphony Energy
Josh is responsible for developing and managing insurance and risk management programs for clients throughout the energy industry. He works with oil and gas operators, contractors, service companies and other businesses supporting the energy sector. His areas of expertise include workers’ compensation, commercial auto, property, inland marine, umbrella and excess liability, and pollution. Josh also works with energy clients on alternative risk solutions, including captive insurance programs.
Josh has 19 years of insurance and risk management experience. Prior to founding Oil Patch Insurance, Josh was a producer at Fred Daniel & Sons from 2012 to 2019. In 2014, he founded Oil Patch Insurance, an online insurance agency serving oil and gas clients nationally, which he sold in 2019. He then served as Vice President at Alliant Insurance Services from 2019 to 2021. In 2023, Josh founded American Energy Insurance. Prior to joining Symphony Risk, Josh was at Dillingham Insurance from 2023 to 2026, where his responsibilities included business development and risk management consulting for energy and commercial clients.
Josh studied communications at Oklahoma City Community College and Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
